At Bovada we wish to provide as many options to accommodate all of our players betting needs. Betting limits are subject to change based on the status of an event and/or the participants.

The minimum bet size is $0.50, while the maximum bet sizes per sport and/or event can vary depending on the event or wager type.

To easily determine the betting limit for a particular event, select the event you want to bet on and click on the Bet Max button in the Bet Slip. The maximum allowed will be displayed in the Risk field.

Is it possible to place an over-limit wager?

The short answer is yes, for eligible events you may be able to risk an amount over the stated maximum - to determine eligibility follow the steps below:

1. Select the event you wish to wager on to add your selection to the Bet Slip;

2. Click the BET MAX button below the Risk field (see the above image) - this will result in the max bet amount displaying in the Risk field

3. Wagers eligible for over-limit consideration will display the following pop-up information:

4. Enter your desired over-limit risk amount and your wager details will be automatically forwarded to our Book Managers for approval;

5. While your wager is being reviewed a message will appear that reads as follows: Under Review: This bet is being reviewed.

6. If your request is approved, you'll receive confirmation and your wager will appear in both, your Open Bets and Transactions Statement.

a. Should your over-limit request be declined - the associated message will also be displayed

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Increased or reduced wagering limits are subject to our Book Managers’ discretion (Ex. Major sporting events like the Super Bowl are subject to increased limits);
Overnight, Pre-Season and Post-Season maximums may vary depending on the event;
The maximum payout for Bovada Sportsbook is $1,000,000 and $50,000 for the Racebook. No individual payout will exceed these amounts under any circumstances.
