Soccer Live Betting Rules
1. Match Betting: All soccer matches are based on results at the end of 90 minutes of play, unless otherwise stated. This includes any added injury or stoppage time. However, it does not include extra time, time allocated for a penalty shootout or a golden goal.
The exceptions to this rule are in relation to friendly matches. These matches will be settled based on the actual result when the game finishes (excluding any extra time), regardless of whether the full 90 minutes are played. This also includes beach soccer, where matches are specifically settled on 36 minutes of play only.
If a match is played in a non-standard format, i.e. 3 or 4 periods, then all ‘Half’ related markets will be graded as "No Action". If a match is scheduled to be played for longer than 90 minutes, i.e. 3x 40 minute periods, then all ‘Total’ markets will be graded as "No Action".
2. Postponed and Abandoned Matches: An unplayed or postponed match is settled as "No Action". Any match that is abandoned before the completion of 90 minutes play will be graded as "No Action", except for those wagers where the outcome has already been determined at the time of abandonment. The match must be fully determined for wagers to stand.
3. In markets based on the times of certain events such as goals:
a. Times are measured in minutes where the first minute of the soccer match is "1".
b. First half stoppage time counts as "45".
c. Second half stoppage time counts as "90". For example, a goal scored at 38:11 in the second half has a time of "84."
d. Settlement will be based on the minutes and seconds time format (mm: ss)
4. Any info on a current soccer match (e.g., elapsed time or score so far) is provided on a "best efforts" basis, but it is not guaranteed to be correct. Customers acknowledge and accept that certain events, including corners and bookings, can occur off camera, and that Bovada cannot be held responsible for any errors in the recording of these events. Bovada reserves the right to cancel or amend wagers retroactively if the odds or lines are based on incorrect information.
5. Total Bookings/Cards: The cards that are shown to non-players (e.g., substitute/reserve, manager or coach) don’t count towards the total. Bookings/Cards are calculated as follows: 1 yellow card = 1 point, 1 red card = 2 points. The maximum points count per player is 3 points.
6. Corners markets are settled on the number of corners actually taken. Any corners that are awarded but aren’t taken (e.g., because the referee blows his whistle for the end of the half) don’t count for wagering purposes.
7. For Next Team to Score (1st/2nd/3rd/4th & other) Goal in the match, own goals count for the team awarded the goal.
8. Will ‘X’ Player Score The Next Goal? – If no goal is scored, all bets on ‘Yes’ will be settled as a loss.
